Huile de Magnolia was created in 1980 by Jean-Marie Greyl at the request of his wife Leonor, who wanted a special oil to use while massaging clients’ shoulders during their hair and scalp treatments at L’Institut in Paris. Jean-Marie, who was never satisfied with the minimum, created a multi-use oil that richly hydrates and soothes skin, prolongs tans and removes makeup. He infused the blend with an exquisitely addictive scent of magnolia flowers. To name this new creation, his daughter Caroline suggested “magnolia,” because at the time she was a fan of the Claude François song “Magnolias Forever.” Today, this exclusive natural oil for face and body beauty treatments has a cult following around the globe.

Aroma: lightly nutty but not overwhelming. The magnolia is aromatic, classy, feminine, and becomes your own scent as the day progresses leaving a very warm and floral smell that is so feminine and beautiful. Seductive and classy.
Uses:
I apply to my damp hair along with HUILE SECRET DE BEAUTÉ because this oil is slightly thicker. I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair. A small penny size on my ends allows for the tips to stay hydrated and leaves an intoxicating smell that my husband adores and gives me compliments all day wherever I go.
Face: right out of the shower, after washing my face, or on the plane (I’ll wipe down with a makeup removerand then apply). A dot or two rubbed between your hands and pressed on the face is fantastic. It’s not sticky, nor oily. More like a serum. My skin’s pores have tightened, I have a nice glow all day and I can apply anything over it. I have sensitive skin that likes to peel in cold, hot, or even humid weather. This has been a life saver and the original reason I bought the oil the first time.
Night serum: apply before bed, put your cold cream on top or just as is. Amazing hydrated, soft, suple skin.
After sun: I lik eto tan, and I’m Mediterranean so I mix with olive oil or almond oil to hydrate my skin after the sun. I avoid peeling, blistering and my skin tans a very nice olive while maintaining its elasticity and glow.
Sauna: I’ll mix this with HUILE SECRET DE BEAUTÉ and/ or my favorite hair mask. Put it on my dry hair. Massage thoroughly, comb it through. Walk into the hot sauna. My hair has been sooo hydrated. Bounce, shine, beautiful aroma even after shampooing. Of course I add more on the tips after the shower.
I LOVE this oil. It smells divine. A little goes a long ways and it’s so versatile. I have it in my gym bag, one in my backpack as I work at a hospital and commute, one in the bathroom and in my bedroom.
My husband knows to get me this for my birthday and it must be in twos 😊
If you’re not sure, try the travel size one first and you’ll find you should have just gotten the big one. It’s a wonderful oil. Not as tropical or beachy as HUILE SECRET DE BEAUTÉ, and also it is much thicker comming out of the pump, but hence less is more and the extreme moisturizing you’ll get from this product.
