At a time when lifestyles are busier than ever, scalps are increasingly neglected and prone to irritation. Stress, pollution, poorly-rinsed shampoo, styling products that leave behind residue – all these factors contribute to redness, itchiness and sensitivity. “Seeing clients come in with these red-flag conditions led my family and the Leonor Greyl Institute to brainstorm solutions,” Caroline Greyl said at the launch of Huile Apaisante in 2018. This 100% natural treatment for irritated scalps was designed as a long-term remedy to rebalance sebum production and relieve discomfort. With the help of eucalyptus extract, organic camellia oil and Brazil walnut oil, the highly-effective Huile Apaisante has won multiple beauty awards and embodies the brand’s expertise in scalp health.

Great ingredients, very hard application. Also not much product. I think it should be in a 2 ounce bottle with a dropper for better application and value. It does work, once you can get it on your scalp. But with my thick hair I can use 1/2 a bottle in one application, that’s $24 an application.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I completely understand how applying oil can feel a little tricky with thicker hair. One tip is to use it as a spot treatment—just apply it where your scalp feels most sensitive. Since the oil is rich and emollient, your scalp’s natural warmth will help it spread easily, so you don’t necessarily need to use very much at all.

I have been using this product with Creme aux fleur and bain propolis with massage brush, as a scalp treatment followed by creme regeneratrice, for about one month now and my dry, frizzy thinning hair and irritated scalp are nearly gone.

I had high hopes for this serum due to good reviews. I thought the bottle was extremely small for the price. There is a rollerball applicator and I felt application was difficult. I used it twice and have not noticed any benefit. I’m not sure if I just need to apply more product, but if so, it seems like I would have to use a quarter of the bottle in order for benefit. So unfortunately, it has not worked for me.

Absolutely magical product. The scalp health is what makes our hair grow more and faster and what leave them shiny and healthy. This product is a must in everyone’s hair routine.
