In 1982, Jean-Marie Greyl was chatting with a chef friend lamenting the strong kitchen odors that stubbornly stuck to his hair after work each night. Jean-Marie was inspired to create a shampoo gentle enough for everyday use and effective enough to banish cooking odors. The result was Lait Lavant à la Banane, a milky formula with banana extract for softening and sweet-smelling benefits. At Leonor Greyl, we refer to it as the make-up remover for hair! This cleanser is milder than a typical shampoo and leaves hair wonderfully glossy.

The description above says the shampoo is milky formula. However, the texture of shampoo in professional size I received was watery liquid only not milky at all. I am so confused as the pump can’t control the watery liquid well and make me massy every time I use the shampoo. I don’t know is this texture the shampoo supposed to be? Or I received a defect product?

It is a good shampoo if you have to wash your hair daily, it is good but not better than honey one. Some people have an issue with packaging but for me it was just fine. You squeeze the bottle holding it slightly tilted and foam comes out that you apply directly to your hair. Smells really good but only if you like banana scent.

This is by far the best product on the market for everyday use. It doesn’t lather but it cleans your hair really well. I like to wash my hair every day. My hair is fine but this shampoo gives me volume, shine and body. Excellent product !
