Our mailboxes are already chock full of invites for holiday parties. You have the little black dress (or three) and you have the daytime to nighttime makeup, but do you have the hair that can take you from the office to the soiree?
No worries. We enlisted Leonor Greyl Creative Consultant Danny Jelaca (the genius behind the Danny Jelaca Salon in Miami Beach) to help us find the perfect sophisticated look for the holidays that is also practical. Danny’s advice— a low chignon. When the low chignon is swept to one side, loosely gathered and paired with a low, sexy sweeping bang is very chic. Bonus: it stays gorgeous all night!
Check out Danny’s tricks!
Step 1: Start by spraying damp hair with Leonor Greyl’s Condition Naturelle for protection and volume, and then blow dry the hair with a medium size round brush.
Step 2: Lightly back comb and collect hair length to one side with a band. Form the ends into a chignon by twisting and pinning. If your hair is long, I love using Leonor Greyl Voluforme spray used with a large barrel curling iron. The curls stay locked in all night! You can leave in a side pony or collect the waves with pinning near the band to create a loose chignon.
Step 3: Decorate with shiny accessories if you have them – the more sparkle the better during the holidays!
Step 4: Finish the front by leaning over to the side and spraying the sweeping bangs with Voluforme once more to help set the style. Viola!
