Apply a small amount to dry length and ends and evenly distribute with a brush. Leave on for 5-10 minutes or overnight, then shampoo out. For sun protection, apply as previously described and reapply as needed.
If product is in solid form, run bottle under warm water to liquify. This does not alter the quality of the product whatsoever.
Pro Tip: Can be used as a leave-in styling product on very dry or frizzy hair. Simply pour 3 drops of oil into your palm, emulsify, and run the brush lightly over your palm prior to brushing hair.

The idea for L’Huile de Leonor Greyl, formerly known as L’Huile de Palme, was first born during a trip to the French West Indies in the 1970s. Finding himself stranded during a hurricane, Mr. Greyl noticed that the rain seemed to run down the leaves of palm trees without ever wetting them. The plant’s incredible properties inspired him to use its oil in a haircare product that would protect hair by forming a waterproof film around each strand. Applied on the beach between swims, in salons as pre-color protection, or at home to repair hair, this oil quickly became a cult favorite. In 2013, palm oil was removed from the formula in favor of two new ingredients: coconut and Mongongo oil.

OMG! 30 year+ hairstylist here to say how WONDERFUL this oil is! There is a much different level between European beauty products and American in my opinion. My peri menopausal hair has been looking like a frizzy crop of wheat. NOTHING has helped. Not olaplex. Not Moroccan oil. Not Redken. I put it on last night before bed and woke up with the softest most AMAZING smelling hair. I am not going to wash it out yet……. I did use it mainly through my ends because that is where my mid shoulder length darkest brown Italian once wavy now wirey hair needed help. Defiantly go light with this as a little goes a long way. Excellent product, I apply it three times every week and it gives my hair the right amount of moisture; washes off very easily with shampoo. I was first introduced to this line of products while living in Spain. When I moved back to the US I couldn’t find it so I ordered from Europe. I was happy once distribution started in the US but quite disappointed with the customer service. For instance, I ordered this product as a Christmas gift: Oder was place on Dec 1, it is Dec. 26 is is still not here. Customer service instead of trying to find a solution blames the situation to COVID and the holidays?

I was surprised at how much I loved this product. Everything Leonor Greyl makes is high-quality, but my long hair can get so dry and I have unruly grays, that normally I need a much thicker, robust conditioner, like the masque quintessence. My sales rep, Irwing, gave me a sample of this to try for everyday and I LOVED IT. A little bit goes a very long way and it gives my hair a shine that really makes it prettier every day. I only wash once a week or so, and it’s great to know that using this product can actually keep my hair looking fantastic right up until the wash day. Be careful though: A little bit goes a long way.

The coconut oil makes it almost always stay in solid form. So it’s kinda painful to have to warm it up every time using it.
Because of its heavy texture, it’s also not possible to have it as a leave-in treatment, unless you are not planning to go out today, so maybe it’s ok during quarantine? lol

My hair is long, thin, fine and blond. I bought L’Huile de Leonor Greyl as UV protectant for my hair in the sun, but use it several ways.
I pour a good amount in my palm and work through the lengths and detangle with my hands or a comb before shampooing.
Sometimes I’ll do a braid and sleep on it, or just leave i the L’Huile in for a bit as a mask. Either way, it’s a great detangler before shampoo.
My best trick though, is for when I’m in between washes, and my ends seem dry or I want them to look more polished.
I wet down the bottom 4 inches with a fine tooth comb, smooth the tiniest bit of L’Huile through, then scrunch dry with my hands and a warm/hot diffuser.
Super shiny wonderful ends! The scent of LG is sexy beachy floral. Everything about this product is sexy. The packaging, the scent, and the gesture of using an oil.

I use this product 2 ways.
I use it as pre-shampoo because 1) I prefer not putting on any products after washing and drying my hair and 2) I am not a huge fan of the scent (I like the bamboo ones!). My hair gets very tangled (i have long, permed curls) especially after my stay at the beach or the mountains, and this works well for frizzy, tangled, and dry hair. It took me a while to make this product work because a TINY amount goes a long way. I would’t apply it directly because it will get pretty oily. I warm the oil in the palm of my hand and only apply on my hairs beneath my ears. I also use this when I want a clean, sharp ponytail.

I alternate Huile de Leonor Greyl with the beauty oil. Leonor Greyl oil solidifies when temperatures get a bit cooler but running the bottle under warm water, or simply putting a dollop into one’s palm, liquifies it. I does have a stronger scent, which I do not like but most people will. Most importantly: it works superbly on one’s hair!
It is also an excellent oil for dry, fragile, colored, fine hair. It serves as a UV filter and nurtures one’s hair prior to shampooing. I put in on upon awakening, eat breakfast, then shower and shampoo. My hair is about ear-length and needs only about 1/8 tsp oil rubbed into my palms and dry ends of hair, then brushed with boar-bristle brush.
My hair stylist has been asking what I have done to improve the health of my hair. It looks so much shinier and stronger. She knows how troubled I have been because of my scalp issues (folliculitis, itching, oiliness but dry hair).
I can only recommend both oils!

This product makes all the difference in the world to my fine, long blonde (highlighted) hair. I apply it to the ends at night, comb it through the length of my hair and go to bed. It absorbs so well that I can almost get away without a shampoo, and if I’m going to be lounging, exercising or just running errands the next day, I will do exactly that. I’ve been using the wonderful Huile de Leonor Greyl for quite a while. I color my hair and thanks to this oil, my ends stay solf and manageable. Besides applying a few minutes before I shampoo, I like to use it as a treatment. If i’m working from home, I’ll apply it and leave it on for hours until I shampoo and head out for the evening.Yes it’s expensive but you only need a bit, this bottle lasts forever! I’m from France originally and I can confirm that Leonor Greyl products are only found in the best salons over there. I’m lucky that they are so easy to oder in the US!

Trust me A must have! it transformed my dry frizzy hair to soft manageable healthy looking hair. its not at all greasy and smells wonderful. 1rst was hesitatnt thinking, how different is it from virgin cocnut oil, there is a lot of difference, you will see the difference only in one use. i use this to my mid lengths to ends, and Regenerescence Naturelle for my scalp.

This oil has completely transformed the health of my hair. I have super fine hair, but I have a ton of it, so it is also very dry. The result is hair that breaks and splits just when shown a hairtie. It also means a lot of excruciating detangling in and after the shower an a great deal of lost hair. However, ever since I started using this oil, my hair has become much stronger, healthier, and shinier. I have fewer split hairs than I had before and my hair looks and moves better. Adding this oil into my routine was my only change, so I know these effects are due to the oil and not some other change.

Simply the best! I started with this travel size, not knowing much about the product but it had been recommended to me. A little goes a long way with this stuff! It lasted quite a while, and was great for traveling, gym, etc. I just purchased the full size bottle (of course). Love what it does to my hair, the scent – everything about it! Don’t be scared about it being an “oil” – it’s not greasy at all when you shampoo it out, and I have thin, fine hair. Try it!

Huile de Palme is so incredibly awesome! I was first introduced to this product when I got a hair and scalp treatment at a spa in Napa! I have super dry hair, so they parted and massaged it in to my hair for 30 minutes! It was heaven. I left there and didn’t purchase it then, so happy to have a source now! It also has UVA/UVB protection for when you’re in the sun. I put it on before going out in the sun or in the pool and leave it on as long as possible, then shampoo out.
