  • Wet hair thoroughly.
  • Emulsify a small amount of Bain Vitalisant B shampoo for fine or color-treated hair between your palms.
  • Apply to the scalp and massage, adding small amounts of water progressively as a gentle lather builds.
  • Rinse thoroughly.

Pro Tips:

  • Do you shampoo your hair just once a week? We recommend you wash, rinse, and repeat. Two applications will most effectively remove a week’s worth of buildup from dust, pollution, dry shampoos, and styling products.
  • For a perfect result, follow with Crème de Soin à l’Amarante, our rich conditioner for colored hair.

Created in 1979, Bain Vitalisant B was one of the market’s first ever shampoos designed for color treated hair. In those days, aggressive blow-drying and relentless dying could leave hair weak and wrecked. Jean-Marie Greyl turned to jojoba oil and avocado extracts to boost strength and prolong color. Now, four decades later, Bain Vitalisant B is still considered one of the best shampoos for fine color-treated hair.

If I need to wash my hair more than normal in the course of a week given what’s going on that week, I’ll use the Bain Vitalisant B. This way I know I am not over-doing it and stressing out my hair because it has no sulfates.

  2. Nichola

This is the first product I’ve tried in the LG line and I have to say…my hair is loving it! This shampoo is very low-lather which is doing my dry, highlighted ends a favor. I have fine, sensitive hair, so I appreciate that their formulas have no sulfates or silicone derivatives, leaving my hair nourished, shiny and so healthy looking. Leonor Greyl has a new fan!

Be aware: if you have never used a sulfate-free shampoo be prepared for this shampoo to be a very different experience than what most American women are used to. You will get very minimal to no lather. This does not mean you need to use more shampoo nor does it mean it’s not working. If your hair is quite dirty, like mine gets by the end of the week, shampoo twice and you will hear the squeakiness you’re used to telling you your hair is clean. If you wash move frequently, you need very little product and probably only need to shampoo once. This is an excellent shampoo: it’s gentle, yet thoroughly cleans my color-treated hair. I only wash my long, fine, relatively thick hair once a week and two shampoos with this cleans without stripping. It gives good volume and shine. My only issue is that the bottle is quite small for the price. If it was a few ounces bigger I’d be giving it 5 stars.

Sooo very gentle on my fine hair! It’s nice to know that the health of my fine hair is not being compromised by a harsh shampoo.

  5. Kimberly Johnson

I love this shampoo it has been a god send, it also has a nice light scent

  6. rgdavis

Wonderful shampoo for fine, fragile, color-treated hair. Cleans gently, adds volume and shine, has a very subtle scent.

    Highly recommend!

  7. Kinnie

This is the best shampoo for me, I have used for over four years and it keeps my hair shiny and soft. Always meet my friends they say my hair look very good, so I suggest my friends you try it.

  8. Yettive

Gentle. Does not strip the color and moisture from your hair. I use this with the pre-shampoo treatment oil as well as the orchid hair mask. Recommend.

The best shampoo! If you have dry, color-treated hair (who doesn’t I ask?) Bain Vitalisant B is the shampoo for you. Although it’s more expensive than I usually spend, it’s well worth it. It keeps my hair shiny, soft and my color really seems to last, and last, and last…I use this every other day on my hair and can honestly say it has improved the look and feel of my hair. Thx Leonor Greyl!

So happy to have found Leonor Greyl. If I hadn’t seen it mentioned in so many magazines I would never have known how wonderful these products are. With so many lines to choose from it’s always been a bit intimidating – but now I will look no more! My faves are the Bain B Vitalisant with the Crème Regeneratrice & the Eclat Naturel styling cream – perfect combo for my colored, dry hair –although you would never know.
