Ideas for Party Hairstyles: Parisian Chic

Looking for hair inspiration for the holiday season? Leonor Greyl has always had a weakness for “effortless chic”, a simple yet skillful hairstyle, the “je ne sais quoi” to which Parisians hold the secret. Vinz, Artistic Director at the Maison Greyl, has two timeless and elegant hairstyles that you can easily do by yourself at home.

Style #1: Disheveled Parisian

“First of all, spray Condition Naturelle onto towel-dried hair as this gives your hair more body and volume. Next, flip your hair upside down, run your fingers through your hair to help it dry and then brush it with a flat brush. This smooths out the hair fibers and closes the hair cuticles, preventing frizz and giving it a radiant shine. To achieve thick, natural volume at the length, take four or five large sections of hair and create curls by wrapping the individual sections around your fingers while it’s still hot, then pin down each curl by using bobby pins and leave it to cool down.

Finish off with a small dab of Baume Bois de Rose and apply it to the length of the hair, scrunching it to achieve a disheveled look. I alternate with Sérum de Soie Sublimateur and apply it to some strands of hair, which gives a smooth overall finish. Together, the balm’s matte effect and the shine from the serum, creates two contrasting textures, creating an original look that brings out the rebel in you.”

Style #2: Long, sleek bob

“For a beautifully smooth, mirror-shine look, begin by applying a small amount of Lait Luminescence, and run your fingers through your hair. Then, flip your hair upside down, add a coat of Voluforme to your roots, and brush your hair with a large round hairbrush.

Next, add a touch of Éclat Naturel. This will keep flyaway hair smooth and under control at the length and prevent any frizz throughout the evening, while protecting your hair from the heat of the straighteners at the same time. Finish by straightening the under layer of the hair. This guarantees a perfectly smooth finish without flattening your hair too much.”
