Get Gorgeous This New Year’s Eve

Getting ready to head out on the town to ring in 2014? You have a long night ahead of you. The average New Years Eve celebration lasts approximately seven hours, which is about double the usual time most of us spend out for the evening. What does that mean for your hair? Stress.

Have no fear, Leonor Greyl is here to give you three fail-safe New Years hairstyles that will last you the entire night of dinner, dancing, kissing and beyond!

1. The Side Chignon – We just adore this look. It is fancy on its own, but gets even fancier when you add a gorgeous sparkly accessory.

Start with Leonor Greyl Masque Quintessence.  Leave it on for 15 minutes to help promote shine as a part of the foundation. Cleanse the scalp and hair with Shampooing Reviviscence. On towel-dried hair, spray Leonor Greyl Condition Naturelle from roots to ends to protect  hair from heat while creating volume throughout. Part dry hair down the center.Pull hair to one side and create two ponytails. Place one in each hand. Tie your hair in a loose knot. Wrap one side on top of the other and stick a hair pin in to hold. Repeat on the other side. Hold it with a pin.

2. Party Waves – Quick easy and sexy. That special someone won’t be able to resist running their hands through your hair at midnight.

Start by lightly misting Leonor Greyl’s Voluforme spray throughout the hair. Softly blow-dry the wet hair. Once dry, section the hair and use a 1 1/4 inch curling iron to curl the hair in spirals, leaving the ends of the hair wavy and natural. After curling the hair, set it up with a pin curling technique and let the hair set. To control frizz add a light layer of Leonor Greyl’s signature Eclat Naturel styling cream.

3. A Sultry Sock Bun – Nothing says glamour like a gorgeous “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” style bun.

It is very important to choose a sock shade similar to your hair color. Cut off the toe area of the sock, and roll the fabric from the inside out into an adorable little doughnut. Pull hair into a high pony and secure with elastic at the crown of the head. Place the sock doughnut around the base of your ponytail and pull all of your hair up through the middle of the hole. Take an Instagram for posterity. Then, pull the doughnut from the base of the head all the way to the ends of your pony. Starting from the end of your pony, begin tucking and rolling the ends around sock doughnut. Try to disperse hair evenly around the doughnut. Pin loose ends around the base. Finish with a light layer of Leonor Greyl’s signature Eclat Naturel styling cream.
